Proverbs 19:23

Proverbs 19:23

The fear of the LORD — reverential awe, holy respect for God's greatness and authority — is the path to life in all its fullness. The one who has this holy reverence lives in satisfaction and is kept from the worst evils. This is not a health-and-wealth promise but a description of the flourishing that comes from being rightly aligned with God. Holiness is not a burden; it is a life-giving orientation.

Memory phrase: Fear God, find life.

Talk about it: What does it mean to respect and honour God with your life?

Prayer: God, help me always respect and honour You.
