Proverbs 15:9

God's love and hatred are not arbitrary — they are responses to the direction of a person's life. Wickedness as a chosen way of life is abhorrent to God. But the person who keeps pursuing righteousness — even imperfectly — is loved by God. Direction matters enormously.
