Proverbs 13:8

Wealth creates vulnerability — it makes a person a target for extortion, threats, or demands. The poor person, ironically, hears no such rebuke or ransom demand, because there is nothing worth taking. Riches bring not only comfort but a particular kind of danger. True security is not in wealth but in God.
