John 5:44

John 5:44

Craving human approval is a direct obstacle to faith. You cannot simultaneously be fixated on what people think of you and truly believe in Jesus, who calls you away from that entirely.

Memory phrase: You can't seek human praise and truly believe.

Talk about it: Can you think of a time when you didn't do the right thing because you were worried about what your friends would think? How does that relate to this verse?

Prayer: God, help me to care about Your honour and praise more than what other people think of me.
