Jesus gently redirected the conversation from her question to the bigger truth. She was focused on who He was socially; He was focused on who He was eternally — and what He could give.

Talk about it: Jesus said 'if you only knew' — the woman didn't realise who she was talking to. What difference does it make when we realise who Jesus really is?
