She heard literally, as Nicodemus had done. But her question, while earthy, was honest and open — exactly the kind of question Jesus works with.

Memory phrase: Ask your honest questions. Jesus can work with them.

Talk about it: The woman heard Jesus literally, about the bucket. But she kept talking to Him. Why is it good to keep talking to Jesus even when we are confused?

Prayer: Jesus, I have questions I do not fully understand. Please help me — like You helped this woman.
