Proverbs 31:27

Proverbs 31:27

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Active oversight of the household is her calling — she pays attention, she manages, she is aware. And she refuses idleness. The 'bread of idleness' is the provision that comes from doing nothing — she has no part in it. Her diligence is both active (oversight) and negative (refusal of laziness).

Memory phrase: Do not waste time.

Talk about it: What is the difference between resting and being lazy?

Prayer: God, help me use my time for good.
