Proverbs 29:26

People expend enormous energy seeking favour from those in power. But human favour is fickle, limited, and ultimately irrelevant — because every person's final judgment comes from the LORD, not from any earthly ruler. This verse liberates us from people-pleasing and calls us to live for an audience of One.
