Proverbs 29:20

Hasty speech is treated as one of the most dangerous character flaws in Proverbs. The person who speaks without thinking, without listening, without weighing their words is harder to help than an outright fool — at least the fool's problem is obvious. The hasty speaker may not even know they have a problem. and echo this same warning.

Memory phrase: Think, then speak.

Talk about it: Why is speaking too quickly without thinking so dangerous?

Prayer: God, guard my mouth and slow my words.
