Proverbs 29:9

Not every argument is worth having. A foolish person cannot be won by reason — they will either rage with anger or mock with laughter, but they will not listen. Wisdom sometimes means recognising when a person is not in a place to receive truth, and not wasting effort on an argument that only creates more conflict.

Memory phrase: Choose your battles wisely.

Talk about it: Is it always worth arguing with someone who will not listen?

Prayer: God, give me wisdom about when to speak and when to stop.
