Proverbs 29:8

Proverbs 29:8

Scornful people — those who mock correction, God, and authority — do not just harm themselves. Their attitude spreads and drags whole communities into danger and conflict. Wise people have the opposite effect: they de-escalate, speak truth gently, and divert the wrath that scorners provoke. Wisdom is a community-saving force.

Memory phrase: Wise people bring peace.

Talk about it: How can one person's bad attitude affect a whole group?

Prayer: God, make me a peacemaker, not a trouble-stirrer.
