Proverbs 27:17

Two pieces of iron, when struck together, sharpen each other. This is the picture of real friendship: not merely pleasant companionship, but mutual sharpening — intellectual, moral, and spiritual. True friends challenge each other, provoke each other to growth, and make each other more capable. This is why the choice of friends is one of the most important decisions a person makes.

Memory phrase: Good friends make you better.

Talk about it: How has a good friend ever helped you become better or wiser?

Prayer: God, give me friends who help me grow.
