Proverbs 27:4

Wrath and anger are visible and violent, but envy is a corrosive internal force that drives people to extremes that simple anger would not. Envy is behind many of the worst acts in human history — including the crucifixion of Jesus (Matthew 27:18). It is uniquely dangerous because it is hidden and relentless.
