Proverbs 26:17

Proverbs 26:17

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Grabbing a dog by the ears — especially a strange dog — is foolish and provocative. The dog will turn and bite. So the person who inserts themselves into others' quarrels without invitation will find the conflict turning on them. Wisdom knows which battles to enter and which to pass by.

Memory phrase: Stay out of others' fights.

Talk about it: When is it wise to stay out of an argument?

Prayer: God, help me know when to step back.
