Proverbs 26:17

Grabbing a dog by the ears — especially a strange dog — is foolish and provocative. The dog will turn and bite. So the person who inserts themselves into others' quarrels without invitation will find the conflict turning on them. Wisdom knows which battles to enter and which to pass by.
