Proverbs 26:13

The sluggard's excuse is absurd — a lion in the streets was vanishingly rare. Proverbs uses this to satirise how laziness inflates tiny obstacles into impossibilities. The lazy person always has a reason why today is not the day to begin. This is a pattern of avoidance dressed as caution.
