Proverbs 26:1

Snow in summer and rain at harvest are not just unusual — they are harmful. Snow ruins summer crops; rain at harvest ruins the grain. In the same way, giving honour to a fool is not merely inappropriate, it is damaging to the community. Honour must be earned by wisdom and righteousness, not merely assigned.
