Proverbs 22:4

Proverbs 22:4

The combination of humility (lowliness of self) and the fear of the Lord (awe and reverence for God) is the path to genuine blessing — riches (which may be material or spiritual), honour (recognition of worth), and life (the full life God intends). These are not earned but flow naturally from a heart rightly oriented toward God.

Memory phrase: Humble hearts receive God's best.

Talk about it: What does being humble mean to you?

Prayer: God, make me humble so I can receive Your best.
