Proverbs 21:29

Proverbs 21:29

Hardening the face is a picture of stubborn defiance — pushing back against correction, truth, and accountability. The upright person, by contrast, considers their way — they examine, direct, and adjust their path. Openness to correction is a mark of uprightness.

Memory phrase: Stay open and keep your way right.

Talk about it: What does a hard, stubborn face tell you about someone's heart?

Prayer: God, keep my face soft and my heart open.
