Proverbs 20:21

Seizing an inheritance too quickly — whether through impatience, manipulation, or simply rushing the process — does not lead to lasting blessing. The beginning may look good, but the end is not. This echoes the parable of the prodigal son: demanding your inheritance early leads to ruin.
