Proverbs 20:1

Alcohol deceives and inflames — it produces mockery and rage in those who are mastered by it. Solomon calls it a 'mocker' because it makes people believe they are doing fine while they spiral downward. A child who sees this warning early is equipped with a lifelong wisdom about intoxicants.
