Proverbs 19:10

Proverbs 19:10

Solomon speaks to the disorder that arises when wisdom and position are mismatched. A fool in comfort is dangerous because comfort without wisdom produces pride and foolishness without restraint. A servant ruling over princes represents a chaotic inversion of proper order. The proverb calls for character to precede position.

Memory phrase: Wisdom must match position.

Talk about it: Why is it important to grow wise before gaining power?

Prayer: God, give me the wisdom to match any position I hold.
