Proverbs 17:6

Proverbs 17:6

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Grandchildren are described as a crown — a symbol of honour and achievement — for the elderly. And children in turn derive honour and identity from their fathers. This is a verse about the beautiful mutual glory of family across generations: the old find meaning in the young, and the young stand tall in the identity given by their parents. Family is a God-given source of dignity and honour.

Memory phrase: Family is a crown.

Talk about it: What makes your family something to be proud of?

Prayer: God, thank You for my family.
