Proverbs 16:6

Proverbs 16:6

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Sin is cleansed through a combination of divine mercy (God's loyal love) and truth (honest acknowledgment of wrongdoing). And the ongoing power to walk away from evil is the fear of the LORD — a deep reverence and holy awe that makes sin look foolish and costly. Both forgiveness and ongoing obedience are rooted in who God is.

Memory phrase: Fear God. Depart from evil.

Talk about it: How does honouring God help us turn away from wrong?

Prayer: God, let fear of You keep me from evil.
