Proverbs 13:20

Proverbs 13:20

Friendship is formative. This is one of the most practically urgent verses in Proverbs for children and adults alike. Those we spend time with shape our thinking, values, habits, and ultimately our destiny. Walking with the wise produces wisdom — through exposure, imitation, conversation, and accountability. But close companionship with fools leads to destruction, not because foolishness is inevitable but because it is contagious and formative. Choose friends wisely.

Memory phrase: Walk with wise people.

Talk about it: How do your friends change the way you think or act?

Prayer: God, help me choose wise friends.
