Proverbs 13:18

Proverbs 13:18

Refusing instruction is not a neutral choice — it leads to poverty and shame, two outcomes that strip a person of dignity and provision. But receiving reproof — genuinely regarding it, taking it seriously — produces honour. The person who can be taught is the person who can grow. This verse is a powerful argument for humility in the face of correction.

Memory phrase: Welcome correction. Receive honour.

Talk about it: Has a correction ever helped you get better?

Prayer: God, help me welcome correction and grow.
