Contempt for God's word is not a neutral attitude — it leads directly to destruction. The stakes of how we relate to Scripture could not be higher. By contrast, reverencing God's commandments — taking them seriously, obeying them from a heart of holy respect — results in reward. Our posture toward the Word of God determines our outcome.
