Proverbs 13:12

Proverbs 13:12

This is one of the most emotionally honest verses in Scripture. Hope deferred — delayed, unfulfilled, seemingly forgotten — produces a very real sickness of the heart. God does not dismiss this feeling. But when the desire finally comes, the relief and joy are overwhelming — like a tree of life, abundant and full of what sustains. Waiting is hard; God knows it. But His timing produces life.

Memory phrase: Answered hope is life.

Talk about it: What is something you are waiting for? How does waiting make you feel?

Prayer: God, help me trust You while I wait.
