Proverbs 12:23

Proverbs 12:23

Wisdom knows when to speak and when to be silent. The prudent person does not display all their knowledge — they hold back, discern the moment, and speak when appropriate. The fool, by contrast, cannot contain their emptiness and broadcasts it freely.

Memory phrase: Wisdom knows when to speak.

Talk about it: Is it always good to say everything you know?

Prayer: God, help me be wise about when to speak.
