John 20:2

Mary's first instinct was that someone had stolen the body. She didn't imagine resurrection — she imagined loss. When we don't know what God is doing, we jump to the worst conclusion. But God had something better.

Memory phrase: When you don't understand, run to your friends — and to Jesus.

Prayer: God, when I can't understand what is happening, help me run toward the people who can help me, and toward You.
