John 18:40

John 18:40

The crowd chose a guilty man over the innocent Son of God. But in a profound way, this is the gospel: the guilty one went free so the innocent One could take his place. Barabbas is every one of us.

Memory phrase: The guilty went free; Jesus stayed.

Talk about it: Barabbas was guilty but was released. How is Barabbas's story a picture of what Jesus did for all of us?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I am like Barabbas — guilty, but set free because of You. Thank You.
