Untying sandals was a servant's task. John said he was not even worthy to be Jesus's servant. This is deep, joyful humility — not shame, but awe.

Memory phrase: I am not worthy to untie His sandal.

Talk about it: John said he was not even worthy to be Jesus's sandal-untier. Why do you think he felt that way — and yet still served Jesus happily?

Prayer: Jesus, You are so great and so holy. I am amazed that You love me. Thank You for coming near to me.
