John repeats the truth to anchor it: Jesus was not created at some later point. He has been with God from eternity.

Memory phrase: Jesus has always been with God.

Talk about it: Can you think of a time when YOU had a beginning — like your birthday? Why is it special that Jesus never had a beginning?

Prayer: Jesus, You have always been with God. You never had a beginning. That is so big and wonderful!
