John 1:1

John opens by echoing Genesis. Jesus ('the Word') is eternal and divine — not created, but God Himself. He existed before time began.

Memory phrase: In the beginning was Jesus.

Talk about it: If Jesus was there before anything was made, what does that tell you about how powerful He is?

Prayer: God, thank You that Jesus has always been with You and has always been real. That amazes me!
