Proverbs 25:21

This is radical counter-cultural love. The natural instinct is to withhold from an enemy. But God commands provision and care even for those who have wronged us. This prepares the ground for Jesus's command in to love our enemies.

Memory phrase: Love and feed your enemy.

Talk about it: Why do you think God asks us to be kind to people who are not kind to us?

Prayer: God, help me be kind even to people who are unkind to me.
