Proverbs 24:29

Revenge — the insistence on repaying hurt for hurt — is forbidden. The believer is commanded not to take personal justice into their own hands. This anticipates Romans 12:19: 'Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord.'

Memory phrase: Do not take revenge.
