Proverbs 23:31

The warning is to stop at the point of looking — before drinking, before even being drawn in by the appeal. The wine is described as beautiful and attractive. That is part of the danger. Wisdom begins at the point of not looking, not just at the point of not drinking.

Memory phrase: Do not look at what pulls you wrong.

Talk about it: Why is the very first look at something dangerous already a risk?

Prayer: God, help me look away from things that will lead me wrong.
