Proverbs 23:24

This verse continues the parent-child joy theme from verses 15-16. A righteous and wise child is a source of the deepest parental joy. This frames the whole chapter's appeal: the father is not commanding out of power but appealing out of love, longing to rejoice over the child's flourishing.
