Proverbs 23:17

Envy of sinners is a recurring danger addressed in Proverbs and Psalms (see Psalm 73). The answer is not to work harder or acquire more — it is to maintain the fear of the Lord as the constant frame of life. Envy of the wicked flows from losing sight of God.

Memory phrase: Fear God all day long.

Talk about it: Why should we not want what people who do wrong have, even if it looks good?

Prayer: God, help me honour You all day and not envy wrong people.
