Proverbs 23:4

Proverbs 23:4

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

Proverbs is not opposed to work or wealth, but to making wealth the goal of all effort. 'Cease from thine own wisdom' means: stop trusting your own understanding as the ultimate guide. True wisdom surrenders the pursuit of riches to God's priorities.

Memory phrase: Do not chase riches.

Talk about it: What is something better to work hard for than just getting rich?

Prayer: God, help me not chase money more than I chase You.
