Proverbs 18:24

The chapter closes with a call and a promise. The call: friendship is not passive — to have friends, you must be one. Friendship requires initiative, investment, and showing yourself friendly. The promise: there is a friend whose loyalty and closeness surpasses even a brother's — an ultimate friend. The New Testament reveals Jesus as this friend in its fullest sense (), the one who laid down His life and whose love never fails or withdraws.

Memory phrase: Jesus sticks closer than a brother.

Talk about it: Who is the best friend anyone could ever have?

Prayer: God, thank You for Jesus, my closest friend.
