Proverbs 15:33

Proverbs 15:33

This verse brings the chapter to its foundational conclusion. The fear of the LORD — reverence for God as the holy, all-knowing, sovereign Creator — is the very school of wisdom; it is where wisdom is taught and learned. And the order God establishes is inviolable: humility first, then honour. No one receives lasting honour who has not first walked in humility.

Memory phrase: Humility comes before honour.

Talk about it: Why must humility come before honour?

Prayer: God, teach me humility and true wisdom.
