Proverbs 15:4

The 'tree of life' is an image of flourishing, health, and life-giving vitality. Words that are true, healing, and good produce this. But corrupt speech — lying, cruelty, manipulation — fractures the human spirit. Words are far more powerful than we usually acknowledge.
