Proverbs 13:2

Speech produces consequences — both positive and negative. The 'fruit of the mouth' means that our words, over time, yield a harvest that comes back to us. Righteous speech produces blessing; the words and deeds of transgressors yield a harvest of violence and harm. We will eventually eat what we sow.
