Proverbs 11:9

Proverbs 11:9

Little Bible — for children and parents · Growth Figures · © Growth Figures. All rights reserved.

A hypocrite uses speech to destroy — spreading lies and flattery that ruin reputations. Knowledge (of truth and of God's ways) equips the just person to avoid and overcome such destruction. Wisdom in words is protective.

Memory phrase: Truth protects. Lies destroy.

Talk about it: How can words hurt someone even without touching them?

Prayer: God, guard my words and keep me from lying.
