Proverbs 9:13

Folly is characterised by noise rather than substance. She is 'simple' — not in the redeemable sense of being teachable, but in the sense of being truly without wisdom.

Memory phrase: Loud does not mean wise.

Talk about it: Have you ever noticed that sometimes the loudest voice in a room is not the wisest one? How can you tell the difference?

Prayer: God, help me not be fooled by loud, noisy things. Help me listen for wisdom's quiet, true voice.
