Peter was literally warming himself with the enemies of Jesus. The fire that warmed his body could not warm his cold heart. He had blended in with the crowd — and the next denials would follow.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, keep me from drifting into the crowd that is far from You. Keep me close to You.
