John 7:39

John interprets the living water as the Holy Spirit, given after Jesus’ glorification. The personal Spirit is not a private voice children must obey. The Spirit existed and acted before this moment; traditions distinguish pre-glorification activity from promised new-covenant reception differently. This is not literal body fluid or a private voice children must obey.
