John 6:71

John names Judas plainly — not to shock us, but to show us that the story of Jesus includes betrayal, and Jesus walked into it with open eyes and open arms. He was not a victim of circumstance but a willing sacrifice.

Memory phrase: Jesus walked knowingly to the cross.

Talk about it: If you knew something hard was coming, would you keep going? What gave Jesus the strength to keep going?

Prayer: Jesus, You knew what was coming and You still came. You still chose the cross for me. Thank You.
