John 4:38

John 4:38

The disciples would harvest what John the Baptist, the prophets, and the Scriptures had planted. We all reap where others have sown — and we sow where others will reap.

Memory phrase: We stand on others' shoulders. Others will stand on ours.

Talk about it: The disciples were going to harvest what others had worked to plant. Can you think of examples of this in real life — where we benefit from others' hard work?

Prayer: God, make me grateful for those who came before me. Help me to leave something good for those who come after.
