John 1:15

John the Baptist publicly proclaimed Jesus's superiority. Though Jesus was younger in human years, He pre-existed John eternally. John rejoiced in pointing to One greater.

Memory phrase: Jesus is greater — He was before me.

Talk about it: John was happy to say someone else was greater than him. Is it easy or hard to say that about someone else? Why?

Prayer: Jesus, You are greater than everyone. I want to always honour You as the greatest.
